At GetToolbox, your privacy is our top priority. This policy explains how we handle your information when you use our tools and services.

Our Commitment to Privacy

GetToolbox is designed with privacy at its core. We minimize data collection, we never receive the files you work on at all, and we never sell your personal information.

File Processing

  • Everything runs in your browser. Every tool on this site processes your files locally, on your own device, using your browser's own capabilities. There is no upload step, and there is no server-side processing option.
  • We never receive your files. Not the file, not its name, not its contents, not a copy, not a temporary one. Because the data never reaches us, there is nothing for us to store, inspect, share, lose in a breach, or be compelled to hand over.
  • Which also means we cannot help you recover one. If you close the tab before downloading your result, it is gone. We have no copy to send you.
  • You can check this yourself. Open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and run any tool. No request carrying your file will appear, because none is made.

This applies to the files only. Loading a page still involves ordinary web requests, and we do record anonymous usage analytics about which tools are used — described under Information We Collect below. Those records never include a file, a file name, or anything of a file's contents.

What We Don't Do

  • We never sell your personal information
  • We never share your files with third parties — we never receive them in the first place
  • We never use your files for AI training or data mining
  • We never send unsolicited marketing emails

Cookies and Local Storage

Your theme preference, your favourite tools, your saved signatures, your per-tool settings and your cookie choice are kept in your browser's local storage on this device only — they are never sent to us and never follow you to another device. Clearing your browser data removes them. If you sign in, Firebase Authentication keeps your session in your browser's own storage on this device.

Advertising and analytics cookies are off until you accept. When you first visit, a banner asks you to Accept or Reject. Until you press Accept, nothing from Google is loaded at all: no Google Analytics, no Google Ads tag and no AdSense script is requested, so no request reaches Google and none of the cookies below are set. Reject keeps it that way and removes the cookies set on this site (the page reloads if you had accepted before). Google's own IDE cookie lives on a Google domain and can be cleared in your browser settings, and this site makes no further Google requests after you reject. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings in the page footer.

If you accept, these cookies may be set:

  • Google Analytics: _ga and _ga_* (about 2 years) distinguish visitors and sessions for usage statistics.
  • Google Ads: _gcl_au (about 3 months) measures whether an ad click led to a visit; IDE (about 13 months, set by Google's ad servers) is used for ad measurement and personalization.
  • Google AdSense: __gads and __gpi (about 13 months) limit how often an ad is shown and measure ad performance; __eoi (about 6 months) is used for ad serving and fraud prevention.
  • Google consent management: FCCDCF (about 13 months) stores Google's own record of ad consent where Google shows its consent message.
  • PayPal sets its own cookies when you open its checkout, under its own policy.

Payment Information

If you subscribe to GetToolbox Premium, payments are processed by PayPal. We do not store your credit card number, bank account details, or any sensitive payment credentials. PayPal handles all payment processing securely under their own Privacy Policy.

We store the following subscription-related data in our database:

  • Your email address and display name (from your sign-in provider)
  • Subscription status (active, canceled, or inactive)
  • Plan type (monthly or yearly) and renewal date
  • PayPal payer email (for subscription identification)
  • PayPal subscription ID (for managing your subscription)

This data is retained for as long as your account exists. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google Firebase — authentication, database, and hosting
  • Google Analytics — usage analytics (page views, tool usage), only after you accept
  • Google AdSense — advertising for free users (Premium users see no ads). Loaded only after you accept; it uses the cookies listed above.
  • PayPal — payment processing for Premium subscriptions
  • Content delivery networks (CDN) for performance

Data Security

The site is served entirely over HTTPS, and the account and subscription data described above is held in Google Firebase under its standard security configuration. Your files are not covered by any of this, because they are never transmitted: the strongest protection we can offer them is that we never hold them.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access any personal data we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Opt out of analytics tracking
  • Export your account data

Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email.
