How to use Remove Pages

  1. Add the PDF

Drop in the document. Thumbnails of every page appear.

  2. Select the pages to delete

Click the pages you want gone, or enter a range such as 3-5.

  3. Check what remains, not what you removed

Look at the pages still selected. It is much easier to spot a wrongly-deleted page this way round.

  4. Download

The new PDF contains only the pages you kept. Your original is untouched.

When to use Remove Pages

  • Deleting blank pages a scanner inserted between double-sided sheets
  • Removing an internal cover sheet before sending a document externally
  • Stripping out pages of terms you were not asked to supply
  • Cleaning up a report before circulating it

FAQ

The original file is never modified. You can always re-upload and remove different pages.
Processing happens in your browser, so it depends on your device memory. Most files work fine.
Yes. Deleting a page removes its content entirely, which is why this is a safe way to handle sensitive material — unlike drawing a box over text, which leaves the text in the file.
No. A new PDF is produced and the original is left exactly as it was.
No. Numbers printed on the page are part of the page image or text, so they stay as they were and will show a gap. Only a tool that regenerates the document from source can renumber.
Remove Pages is best when you are discarding a few pages from a mostly-complete document. Split PDF is better when you want to extract a small selection out of a large file.

About Remove Pages

Removing pages is the fastest way to make a document appropriate for its audience. Most PDFs that get forwarded contain material the recipient does not need — internal routing sheets, blank separator pages, appendices relevant to someone else.

This is also a privacy control, and a more reliable one than covering content up. Deleting a page removes its content from the file completely, whereas drawing a box over text leaves the text sitting underneath where anyone can select or extract it. If a page contains something the next reader should not see, delete the page.

Page numbering is worth watching. The numbers printed on the pages will no longer be continuous after a deletion, which is usually fine for an internal document and distinctly not fine for anything being submitted formally. Check whether the gap matters before you send.

Tips and limits

  • Review the pages you are keeping, not the ones you are deleting — errors are far easier to spot.
  • Deleting a page genuinely removes its content, unlike covering it with a white box.
  • Printed page numbers will no longer run consecutively after a deletion.
  • Your original file is never modified; the tool produces a new document.
  • If you want to keep only a handful of pages out of many, Split PDF is the quicker route.
